In the Encyclopedia of the American Left under Pete Seeger's bio:

In Washington, D.C. "On March 3, 1940, a date folklorist Alan Lomax once said could be celebrated as the beginning of modern folk music, Seeger met Woody Guthrie at a "Grapes of Wrath" migrant-worker benefit concert." The concert was organized by actor-folksinger-radical Will Geer. [thanx Max Wallace]

Sorry. It works for me even when I clear the cache. I haven't a clue. It's an old photo, anyway.
