Richard Grainger performs a sea music concert this Saturday, October 15, aboard the historic ship Balclutha, on San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf, at 8pm. Tickets, $14. To reserve, please call 415-561-6662, ext. 33. Website for this and the other concerts at San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park: http://www.nps.gov/safr/concert.html.

Richard Grainger brings both traditional and self-penned songs of his native Teeside area, of its fishing, whaling, and Captain James Cook legacies.

He might even bring some of Uncle Joe's Mint Balls.

Best,

Chanteyranger

Doubt if he'll bring uncle joes, cos he lives miles from oldham, but He'll no doubt be singing some excellent stuff. Great friend and a great performer...Recommend him!

All the best to Richard on his performance in San Francisco on the Balclutha

Richard is no stranger to the rigged ships which frequent the famous Whitby harbour in North Yorkshire

Go and see him!

Got the two ee's, missed the two ss's. Thanks for the correction. There will also be tickets at the door. Ticket booth opens 7:00pm, entry to Balclutha at 7:30. His self-penned "Scarborough Fishermen" is one of my alltime favorite maritime songs.
