As a follow up to this thread thread.cfm?threadid=27816#52906

How about ' What is your Mudcat name translated?'- using the translation facility [under where it says 'Submit Message']

I've tried mine a few times, using German, Fr., Port, & Italian.

If you translate messages a few times with different languages, it gives some real howlers, like these:

Eric of you rotate them.

German:eric of the Rot

Ah...it's already Irish of the Anglicized "Rapparree."

But just to make you all happy:

En français: Rapaire
Auf deutsch: Rapaire
한국어: Rapaire
По-русски: Rapaire
繁體中文版: Rapaire
In italiano: Rapaire

etc. etc. etc.

It's kinda neat in Egyptian hieroglyphics, but that's an image and doesn't copy over. I can't find an English-Klingon translation service.

Speaking of translating, try this...

Go to Google's translation utility
http://translate.google.com/translate_t

Translate "my mom is nice and cool" from English to Spanish.

Then copy what you get and translate it from Spanish back to English.

(You have to use Google's translator, not Babelfish.)

Mine is soooooo boring - Dame,Madam, Senora Penelope etc.

I do know that in Norwegian squeak is "pipe' (pro. peep) I only know this because a colleague of Parker's (who was Norwegian) became hysterical when some one said they needed to get a pipe fitter in.

pipe = squeak or squeaky
fitter = slang term reffering to the vagina

soooooo............
