Oi 'tink, 'dat on St. Patricks Day,
Oi'l talk a little Oi-rish.
Oi got some Oi-rish, in me, don't ya' know?
Oi'l wear shamrock, on moi' collar,
And swig an Oi-rish- Cream,
Oi'l munch on some, potata'-bread,
Oi'l say," well'dere ya' go."
Wear da' harp, upon moi' shoulder,
And ,moi Oi-rish Shell'el'agh,
Wit' moi Oi-rish eyes a'smilin',
Playin', airs an' jigs in "D".
Oi've brushed up on moi' 'oxcent,
Learned, from an Oi-rish scollar,
Who spoke, da' spoken Oi-rish,
From, da' "blarney", too, "begorrah"
Ya' can take it, as ya'like it,
And on St. Patricks Day,
From a dinkum, Oi-rish Aussie,
Have a real, "g'day".

Happy St. Patrics Day to all
From Ken (part Oi-rish) Robertson 16+17/3/2000.

G'day Callie,
If Alison & I didn't have gigs Friday (St Pat's) & Saturday we'd be there.

Any of you Ozzie 'Catters know when St Albans folk festival is on? Not Anzac weekend obviously because it's tacked to the end of Easter and the National Folk-Fest is on then.

Jamberoo beckons for sure. Should be great this year again.

But I won't be there until our band survives our only regular pub gig - St Patrick's Day at the Oxford Tavern in Bathurst. I'm getting too old to smile through too many evenings of smoke and drunks, but it's coming up for 25 years at the Ox so I've even restrung the mandolin for the occasion (with beer-proof strings I hope)

Next week it's back to weddings, 21st birthdays and the like. Phew!
