Tonight I got myself a litle fed up about the trolling posts of one of our 'guests'.
I tried to swamp his vitriolic posts with my protest.
as a result I was barred from mudcat by some wanker of a moderator and all of my posts were deleted. The trolls posts remain. I received no explination

Is this what you want from mudcat?

Its not what I want. In future if I need to use mudcat I will post as a guest and not bother a gnats chuf about what I say and who I say it to.

Ever hear the phrase - "Two wrongs don't make a right" ? Anyway, which thread was it? I like to see things and judge for myself. Obviously extreme cases of trolling should be dealt with too, but flooding the forum, no matter what the reason, is bound to get you in trouble. Hopefully you might have calmed down a bit by now.

By the way, I think the title of this thread is mischievous too - designed to alarm us and make us look. I don't like feeling I'm being manipulated.

Presumably, it was a response to rarelamb, who seems to have started a bunch of threads calculated to annoy and obstruct. If this is so, I don't endorse the action, but I do understand the motivations--However, it is surprisingly easy to ignore something, if you set your mind to it, and it can be a wonderful way of avoiding trouble--

I don't understand the obsession so many 'Catters have for this sort of thing. As M.Ted says, it's amazingly easy to ignore things. There are so many here who should try it sometime and find out not only how easy it really is, but how empowering it is as well.

It gets tiresome reading obituaries, when the subject is walking around in good health. I get annoyed by some of the rudeness I see from time to time. There just does not seem to be any point in exacerbating the situation by getting into a cat fight over it.
Most of the really disgusting posts here are eventually seen and removed by Joe Offer. So if something really upsets you, why be tempted to jump into a sewer to fight with a rat?

Rarelamb, I encourage you to keep posting what you do. I have also posted articles from time to time that do infuriate some Mudcatters. They read them anyway and usually they are some of this place's more interesting threads.

There is a certain far-left element here who suffers from an unhealthy mental disorder. Trouble for most is that they just don't get it. It's not about hate, bigotry, racism, or anything else. It's usually about a denial of ordinary common sense for this lot.

Without controversy or challenges to this mindset, it's really just a bunch of old hippies frolicking in a field of butterflies oblivious to much in the real world.
