Subject: RE: Folkmob Knockholt Summercamp From: GUEST,Sue and Mick Forde Date: 26 Jun 06 - 01:10 PM We have just been back to Knockholt to collect the marquee and clear away the ash from the fire and the field looks so different from the weekend very sad and soggy, I can't believe how lucky we were with the weather. A big thank you to everyone for taking away their rubbish it really is appreciated, this was the best year ever for leaving the field litter free very few bottle tops and not a crisp packet to be seen. There is however quite a large collection of lost property (Debbies fruit punch must have been stronger then usual) 3 blue chairs 1 maroon chair black hat 2 corkscrews black rubber torch china cup blue plastic cereal bowl 1 patchwork quilt Let us know if any of the above belongs to you and in the meantime we will keep it all safe. Sue and Mick |
Subject: RE: Folkmob Knockholt Summercamp From: Girl Friday Date: 25 Jun 06 - 09:10 PM We just got home in time to heave the van into the garage whilst still light on Saturday. Then we set off to find chips at 10 p.m. Horrors! Every chippery in the whole of Orpington, and beyond was closed! Think it maybe to do with the police imposing an exclusion zone! Any youths who number two or more may be forced to dispurse. There has been a lot of trouble from them lately. Hope you didn't over-indulge on Saturday night. Thanks for a great time. We loved Leigh Festival and they loved us I think. We also got to hear and meet Eric Bogle. |
Subject: RE: Folkmob Knockholt Summercamp From: rock chick Date: 25 Jun 06 - 05:43 PM O dear yet again I could not make it, and I only live a few miles down the road, I had my mum this weekend (83) and she is hard work but I love her to bits, would have brought her along but she is not good on her feet and prefers to have a bbq in the garden. I WILL catch up with you guys soon….promise ;-)) Glad the weather was good. Miss you guys. XX rc |

Subject: RE: Folkmob Knockholt Summercamp From: GUEST,Dave Kenningham Date: 15 Jun 06 - 06:48 PM Thought I'd better join in now that it is less than a week away. After seeing Tone Deaf Leopard last night at the Tudor Barn I cannot wait to see them performing around the fire and green fields of Knockholt. We have the wood on order, the loos ready and if the sun gets too hot during the day we can relax in the brand new marquee.(The old mash 50s tent will be sadly missed). Plus the Tally Ho is walking distance for food and refreshment. Also, looking forward to Jim Rs workshop on songs of the sea and missed trips to Dublin. John Bs superb versions of ride on and learning a new song from Richard B. And I do need to learn a new song!. Plus the many surprise guests who will be turning up over the weekend. |
