NO comment, because good humour doesnt require a comment.

Peace,
There you go, you're at it now! You missed out the apostrophe in 'doesn't'. Don't any of you speak The Queens' English?

Skipjack,
You surprise me sir! The apostrophe in that example was correct surely? As a possesive? The language belongs to Her Majesty does it not?
Too many question marks there I think.

Bugger, on second thoughts you are right, The Queen is not a plural noun. I will now vacate this website forever.

Well, he'd be 65 for one thing.

Q: What would it take to get the Beatles back together again?
A: Two bullets.

I imagine he would never have made another important record. I wish he had lived though. He would have seen his son grow up and he would probably have got back with the other three Beatles - not as a colleague, but as a friend, who had a unique experience in common with the others.
I enjoyed the bit of his life he gave me, so I would not have asked him for any more.

I imagine he would have been a Bob Geldof type figure. Able to bridge the gap between youth and politicians and listened to by some and ridiculed by others.

I can see him as a spokesperson for peace and green issues with very short cropped receding hair and trademark specs. His personal relationships with family would be solid and his art works worth a fortune. Saatchi would have commissioned something big and contemporary that highlighted the plight of the starving and dispossessed of the world.

All in all a thoroughly good egg. After all he was the eggman.

Anyone else here ever heard the connection between Mark Chapman and GHW Bush?

He would have been another passionate and effective voice for peace, and boy do we need as many as we can get. I still miss him, and I was only 9 when he died.
