Not much activity on this thread recently. How was Broadstairs? Ted Hanley tells me you went to his session and were very good! That's something coming from him!

We have our own photos for sale... still no nudies, but hey, do you really want to frighten your grandchildren?

Woodsie... Ted, like us, has only just come back. We were brilliant, but he didn't say so to you. You will not hear Sue Leopard roar for a while. The monsoon and tornado that hit Broadstairs has given her a chest infection. Sang like a good un at the late night session on Friday. Put it down to the Biddenden cider and brandy cocktails.

Sue, did I hear mention of a leopard print sarong somewhere? Did you get your busking licence? Sorry I couldn't make it to Broadstairs even for a day, too many other things happening.

Ted Handley kept saying "nice sarong Trev" all Tuesday. This was the threatened caveman outfit. Photos on our website shortly. We got our busking licence when we checked in. All official same as the workforce ones. Went busking on the three or so good days. Broadstairs caught the fringe of a tornado, tents, gazebos, and our awning, ripped from the ground. We spent Monday going to Margate for spares and fixing it!Also a tree fell in the carpark threatening a number of vehicles.

I have packed my nosebag ready for Knockholt. I've heard that some famous big cats are going to be there. It's a shame that The Barden of England isn't going, but I'm keeping my hooves crossed that Richard Bridge might manage Thursday night. I have been on the Knockholt thread and told him I'll save a patch of grass next to the sheep. Baaaaa!!

I'm very confused. First people are moaning about my a- rhythmic drumming, so Trev says "Go to the bodhran workshop" Then he says he may have to sack me because my timing's improved. "Your drumming's improved greatly" I'm told, then I'm told I'm no fun any more. I think I might have to write to Auntie Leopard.

A true story:

Fisheye recently sent me a DVD of the Knockholt Summer Festival. It works perfectly for the first twenty minutes or so, but as soon as TDL appear on screen the DVD freezes completely and refuses to go further forward.

How should I interpret this?

Thanx Stormalong, She did indeed do a great job at widesteps. As to the DVD, we had the same problem, but found it was due to a saliva-like substance on the DVD itself - could this be due to the fact that Fisheye is a banjo player? Did anybody else notice the Barden seemed to be moving at half-speed on his bit? - It puts an emphasis on the Marquis tossing his locks in time to the music!

It's due to my age - I can only manage half speed now at full stretch

Hot news story breaking from Reuters:

TDL are on the verge of breaking up. They have a few recording and tour commitments which they are honouring due to legal technicalities. Sue Turkey has a solo album due out in late October, titled:

"Christmas may be coming, but this Turkey won't get roasted"

Trevor Lidl is going to spend more time on his chain of cut price stores.

Manager and long time associate Brian Bruce said this morning "This is a sad day for British music - on par with the Beatles split in 1970. They leave a lot of fans very disappointed and in despair. They feel that the pressures of the 21st century music business never allowed them to realise their full creative potential. Time will show that the Turkey/Lidl partnership will be remembered along with Rodgers/Hart, Strummer/Jones, Jagger/Richard and Chin/Chapman"

Are there plans for a farewell concert? If so I hope that the ticket agencies don't overcharge by ludicrous amounts - anything over £100 is not acceptable.

Excuse me, but that will only be allowed to happen after I've scattered the seed and watch my lawn grow Vo Mit!!

I've still got some hair, though not vey much it's true, and I've taken up Vatican painting (or is that V.A.T. again and fainting).

Although Manager and long time associate Brian Bruce was reported as having said "This is a sad day for British music - on par with the Beatles split in 1970", his actual words were:-
"This is a sad day for us British - my par is shit and worse than it was in 1970".

My only comment mus be STOP READING THE SUN!!!

On behalf of Messrs Lidl and Turkey I have the following statement to make. Rumours of a split in Trevor's pants are totally untrue. Ms. Turkey's solo career is something not yet dreamed of.As to the Leopards' manager..... You're fired Bruce. Woodsie gets the job as of tomorrow... no transfer fee and we don't get anything like £55,000 a week, so don't start doing an Ashley Cole. Any more of this tabloid piffle and I shall be consulting our solicitor in Lower Stoat. Woodsie.... you're sacked.....you should know where we are going to be in the next six months. Incidentally where were YOU tonight. We'd brought you a present too! Is the Barden interested? Bearing in mind that he'd need to know, not just where we are but where he and Jan are (Lanzarotte?). As far as I know it's the Canaries. They are small birds that only make a snackette for a leopard.
