I just saw "The Godfather" again on television. What a brilliant film. This is my new favorite movie line;

"Leave the gun. Take the cannoli's"

Anyone else seen an old favorite and remembered a great line?

Steven Seagall in that paen of praise to the oil 'bidness' "On Dangerous Ground" which is so concerned with the environment that it torches a refinery (along with Michael Caine). I watched it with a bunch of oil workers who howled and howled.
Best line was a model of PC:

The scene is a British warship that is disabled and there is a German submarine somewhere about. A seaman drops a spanner, and the Captain says "The next man who makes a noise, I'll have his guts for a necktie." Jack hawkins? THE CRUEL SEA.

"I think we need a bigger boat." Jaws

The whole "I call that bold talk for a one eyed fat man.
"Fill yer hands you sonofabitch" scene from True Grit

And then from Braveheart...
Stephen ... "Him? That can't be William Wallace...I am prettier than this man. Allright, father! I'll ask him! If I risk my neck for you, will I get a chance to kill Englishmen?"
Hamaish ... "Is your father a ghost, or are you conversing with the almighty?"
Stephen ... "In order to find his equal, an Irishman is forced to talk to God. Yes, Father! The Almighty says, 'Don't change the subject! Just answer the fuckin' question!'"
Hamish ... "Mind your tongue!"
Hamish's Father ... "Insane Irish!"
Stephen ... "Smart enough to get a dagger past your guards, old man."
Wallace ... "That's me friend, Irishmen. And the answer to your question is yes. If you fight for me, ya get to kill the English."
Stephen ... "Excellent! Stephen is my name! I'm the most wanted man on my island. Except I'm not ON my island, of course. ... "
Hamish ... "Island? You mean Ireland?"
Stephen ... "Yeah, it's MINE."
Hamish ... "Yer a madman."
Stephen ... (Laughs) "I've come to the right place then."

"Who ya gonna call?"
"Ghostbusters!"
[the first Ghostbuster's Movies-maybe it was just the song from the movie, but I figure it still counts]I use it all the time everytime someone asks that first question.

"Don't Panic! All is well."
[from Animal House-"Don't panic" was mentioned upthread. But IMO, the two sentences have to be said together for the biggest kick].

"Sexual Chocolate!"
[from Coming to America]
Said by Eddie Murphy when he was portraying a host of a church function. He introduced a band of that name and the audience [except the African prince] found them to be less than inspiring...

That was a funny scene..actually they all were.

Oh yeah, Kathleen Turner.
In The Man With Two Brains, she arrives with new husband Steve Martin at a beautiful adobe-style villa, flowers all over the porch, two Mexican servants waiting to greet them.

Kathleen (scornfully): "What are those assholes doing on the porch?'
Steve (laughing): "Those aren't assholes. It's pronounced 'azaleas'.

From "WC Fields and Me"

Fields was being interviewed by the IRS regarding his tax return. He had been claiming a case of gin every month as a business expense. When asked to justify that he replied, "I'm a comedian. When I'm not drunk I'm not funny." The IRS went on to inquire about donations to a 'home for Chilean bastards'. Fields responded, "Yes. I gave to the Peruvian bastards LAST year."

Not really a line from a film, but when Quentin Crisp was asked by US customs if he was a practicing homosexual he replied "No. I am perfect!"
