My grandmother used to sing a rhyme to me. It sounded like she was saying Jack-a-Myriah jumped in the fire, the fire was so hot he jumped in a pot...and on and on. Does anyone know this rhyme?

Discussed here recently. You see that "Lyrics and Knowledge Search" box at the top of this and every page? That's the onsite search engine. If you aren't sure of the title, try a recognisable phrase without spelling ambiguities; in this case, "jumped in the fire" will do the trick.

Old man 'badiah/Jumped in the fire
