anyone out there remember going to or playing at the Lambley folk club near Nottingham, back in the 80s it was very popular.Great room with an open fire that used to burn your butt in the winter.

no I was drunk on that night as so many others - so the recollection is a little blurred. i remember my guitar was out of tune.

I lived in Burton Joyce just over the hill until 1970 but I can't remember a club in Lambley. (We went to Carlton in its very early years but I can't remember the name of the pub!)

Yep, remember both of them well. We were playing a set at Carlton one night when a bloke with an afro hairdo (remember THOSE days?) set it on fire lighting a cigar at a candle...fortunately his mates put him out by pouring their pints over him.

you obviously remember something or other, let us in on it. Personally speaking I was drunk, and prefer not to remember too much detail about the occasion I visited lambley folk club.

Lambley club. Ah yes, I remember it well... I think. Small room, small bar, big audience, in every respect. The guest was the fireguard and went home with their ---- and the back of their legs that looked like they had been smacked! Which reminds me of another club... but I won't go into that now. Or ever.
Guilds, Gibsons Epi's, Martins and good songs. No parochial, myopic demarcations. They were good, open times.

I certainly do remember the club - it was one of the best around at the time and I always had a cracking night there.

There is a club at Lambley at the moment called "The Woodlark" - I went once over the summer and it's very friendly.
