Both Paul Simon and Bob Dylan recorded "The Bonnie Lass O Fyvie" Anyone know where I could find them?

Are you wanting an MP3 or to buy a CD with either of those on?

There's an article about Dylan here that mentions the song in question... somewhere! Perhaps it says which CD title the song is on?

Allie

Thanks Allie, I would Like to hear them one way or another. I was born in Fyvie and often sing the song. People don't beleive me when I tell them it was recorded by such eminent artists, and I have only heard snippets

Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel sing "Pretty Peggy" on their first lbum, "Wednesday Morning 3am". This is clearly a re-hash of "The Bonnie Lass o' Fyvie" but I have never heard Simon do the "proper" version. Is this what you are looking for? You may find it on Emusic.com.

Dylan's version of 'Pretty Peggy-O' is on his self titled first album.

Those are lyrics from one of the variants.

What's your point?

I think Dylan's version is closer to Pretty Peggy from Derby than Fyvie-O...buy its all the same song.

Talking of "rehash"'s.

Is anybody going to mention the source of Mr. Simon's version of "Scarborough Fair"?
