The general feeling is that MK Council have a 'sensible' attitude towards sessions, and have stated so unofficially. Knowing the landlord's famed reluctance to spend money I'll be interested to see how long it'll take him to acquire a PEL. Apart from the cost of the licence itself there will be an inevitable and expensive outlay on safety features and wiring for such an old (and cramped)pub. To be honest, apart from the Sunday session, the pub only stages music events half a dozen times a year, always for free, and I don't think it'll be worth their while applying for the licence.

Apparently the Bull Hotel, Stony Stratford (Bucks, UK)does not have the appropriate PEL (Public Entertainment Licence) to allow the advertised 'Hole-in-the-Head Gang' annual reunion to take place there tomorrow (Sat 8th June).

Jane Armour says that the event will now take place at the same time (lunchtime)at:

The Duke of Wellington
Wolverton Road
Stony Stratford

"Bluegrass music and fine songs"

I don't know where this will leave the Sunday lunchtime sessions. I believe a PEL is to be applied for.
