Hoping to be able to get there Saturday afternoon. My other half wants to buy a conservatory and guess where the showroom is - Northampton. Now wouldn't it be rude to go all that way and not drop by? (I hope she doesn't find out that they flog the one she wants in Shrewsbury, which is 11 miles as opposed to 111 miles!)

What are the current weather conditions over there on the British Isles, esp. London/Stony Stratford? Do I have to bring polar equipment from the continent? Is there snow/ice? What are the outside temperatures? (here in Munich we had a 20 degree temperature drop within 3 days - Sunday lunchtime about 22 deg. Celsius/Centigrade, this morning slight frost on the grass...)

Update to schedule!

Saturday Lunch - Fox and Hounds, High Street.

Due to kitchen constraints, we'll have to have 2 sittings - 12:30 and 1:30. Menu as follows:

Chicken Curry (Ken's speciality)
Chicken Casserole (do I detect a theme here?)
Vegetarian Curry (different to the chicken curry, he's a stickler for these things)
Expect to pay £4.50. All the above are served with rice. Beer is optional, and extra.

The Crown are expecting us from about 2pm onwards, but Steve and Lindy are so lovely that they won't mind us occupying the place before...

Circumstances have changed.

Not that any of you know who I am, so I doubt I'll be missed.

Just thought I should let you know, given that I was named as a 'possible' earlier in the thread.

I am in receipt of a polypin of *Moby Dick* Flagship Brewery 4.4abv which refuses to leave my side, so I shall have to bring it with me.
I am told it is a session beer, but I also know the brewers "sessions", so beware.
Having worked in the brewery for a short time, I can thoroughly reccomend Flagship ales, they aint killed me yet.
Kay & I hope to arrive early Friday eve, traffic permitting, and after a bed inflating workshop, will be looking for action (song, dance, ale. not necessarily in that order).
Should we all wear name-tags, in case we forget who we are?(or are found wandering in SS).

Hi there, Cllr Mike
Just turn up for the indoor camping. From what Dai says (he has done all the work to organise it), there will be plenty of space in more than one room.
See you tomorrow!

Dear Micca,
I too have a hippy flask, containing Ellecompagne, guaranteed to bring the dead to life again.
So if you bring me an old woman, be she eight score eight, and her nose and chin both of a height, 'twill make her as pretty as that fair maid over there......AND it cured Sir Harry of a disease three yards long!
So it's hipflasks at dawn. Name your seconds, as I demand satisfaction, sirrer.

Gather ye stalwarts while ye may,
Old Time is still a-flying:
And this same flower that smiles today
Tomorrow will be dying.

The glorious lamp of heaven, the Sun,
The higher he's a-getting
The sooner will his race be run,
And nearer he's to setting.

That age is best which is the first,
When youth and blood are warmer;
But being spent, the worse, and worst
Times, still succeed the former

Then be not coy, but use your time;
And while ye may, go marry:
For having lost but once your prime,
You may forever tarry.
