He .being Eric Bogle , who wrote it I believe sat in a war cemetry in n.france and read the name on a headstone.His imagination and his talent as a songwriter questioned the value of war,its futility and June Tabor's interpretation is the definitive and first setting of this masterpiece that prompted others to sing it .Hear her on her Anthology album that also includes Bogle's 'The Band Played W. M.'

It,s called NO MAN'S LAND or at least that's what it's called by the bugger who wrote it and I think he should know, and as for what it's about, it's a blody anti war song, for God's sake!
