I'll be celebrating my 55th birthday in the Sun Inn in Beverley this coming Sunday(25th)by running the session from 4 til 7pm. It would make an old man very happy to see lots of friends there.

In fact I've just returned from across the pond - my son was married in Seattle about four weeks ago and we flew across for that. No doubt I'll return before too long and get some playing in whilst I'm over there.

Since I am 55 and by no means old, I take issue with your statement. 55 is middle aged.

Take a tip from Shakespeare's Adam:

55 is neither "old" nor "middle-aged". 55 is a mere broth of a boy!

I'm 71, and doing just fine, thank you! When I'm through with this middle-age, then I'll think about getting old!
