WARNING - PLEASE DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU DON'T LIKE HEALING REQUEST THREADS. THANK YOU.

For those of you who have previously offered your help, we have a Mudcatter whose friend lost her 19 year old daughter this week in a car accident. Please do not ask who any of them are, as they'd like to keep this private from the general Internet public.

We would simply ask that you hold this mom in your thoughts and prayers to whatever/whomever you believe in. Since this happened, she has been unable to recognise anyone and is not functioning very well in this world. Her family and friends are very concerned.

Thank you and thanks to everyone for keeping this thread NON-CONTROVERSIAL. All that matters is someone is simply hurting and needs our help.

kat

Thank you kat.....

I thought about this family a lot in the past hours since learning of it last evening. Our best thoughts are with them. We have had several close friends go through these trying times and the hurt and pain are never forgotten. Everyone goes on, but a part of the world is lost. I'm sure the memories are great and folks can focus on them, but our hearts knows the loss and the pain these people are feeling. Someone said once that a hole is left in the heart when a tragedy occurs. Our best and sincerest wish for this family is that the hole is filled with the memories of the time they had and the love and lives they shared.

All of our best to them.

Pat & Karen Patterson

So sorry to hear of the news. I know, personally, the pain of this kind of loss. The consolation of friends can give you unimmaginable strength when you are faced with the loss of a family member. My love and thoughts go to your friends, in the hope that they find the same. Elle

On behalf of my friend, I thank all of you for your kind words. As a skeptic regarding most things, I do not know if healing circles help, but they certainly can't harm and I for one will not rule them out.(Humans are wonderfully incongruous beings aren't they?).

Nancy, what you said really struck home for me personally. As someone who once went mad trying to "comprehend the impossible", I never felt that I was enlightened by the experience but perhaps there was some wisdom gained in finally accepting that there are some things that will always be beyond our ken and you have pointed that out to me. Thank you.

This happened to a close friend of ours a few years ago. It never stops hurting. All the friends and family can do is hold on in there right now, and that is going to be very hard for them as well.

She needs people around who already understand what it is to be hurt, and know that it's always different.

Sorry to hear it. "The only thing worse than losing a parent is losing a child". I will think of her and ask for help-- know that you will do your best to let her know you are There. It helps. May not seem so immediately but you are doing a good thing, which is just how I think of you.

Time does not heal all things but the passage of time and the process of grieving can dull the pain. May this be so for this family.

I just lost a 17 year old niece this past august. so our prayers and thoughts are with you. when the time comes there is a support group on the net at www.tcfatlanta. org. please don't think i'm using this situation to plug for this group, but my sister-in-law has found some comfort at this site.I know this is a nn music thread but i would still like to pass this on.

PRECIOUS CHILD Karen Taylor-Good

In my dreams you are alive and well, Precious child precious child, In my mind, I see you clear as a bell, Precious child, precious child.

In my soul, there is a hole, That never can be filled, But in my heart, there is hope, "Cause you are with me still.

In my heart, you live on, Always there never gone, Precious child, you left to soon, Tho' it may be true that we're apart You will live forever...in my heart

In my plans, I was the first to leave Precious child, precious child But in this world, I was left to grieve Precious child precious child.

I my soul there is a hole That never can be filled But in my heart there is hope And you are with me still.

In my heart you live on Always there never gone Precious child you left to soon Tho it may be true that we're apart You will live foever...in my heart.

God knows I want to hold you See you touch you, And maybe there is a heaven And someday I will see you again Please know that you are not forgotten until then

In my heart you live on Always there, never gone Precious child you left to soon Tho' it may be true that we're apart You will live forever... in my heart.

God Bless Fulurum

also, there is a cd out called "Before their Time"...with singers like Anne Hills, Jim Stewart, Gordon Bok, Eric Bogle...it is to remember those who died too young...url is http://www.beforetheirtime.com/ mg

I will put this person in my prayers, and thanks for bringing the family to our attention. As a person of heightened empathic abilities, I can tell you that this is the darkest hole one can fall into. I ache for this family and offer my prayers for them.

The only dark side that is opened when we start this is the one we know all about. We have a couple of people, one in particular, who feel the need to mold this forum into their liking. They ramble on, and one of them is very hurtful. Please do not acknowledge them as they feed off of this.

Big Mick

Mis-labeled???? 'Fraid not. People need all the kind thoughts and understanding that their fellows can spare. And no one has ever lost their soul by sharing a little love.

I can't say I totally support the rock-sucking there Sorcha. :) You have to admit it must be horrible for some folks to know in their hearts (shriveled and blackened as they may be) that when they aren't there, they aren't really missed.

Let's put away the claws folks, and remember why this thread is here.

Just joining in to offer my sympathies. We lost our oldest niece, the mother of a 5 year-old daughter, about 18 months ago. Prayer and moral support does help. There is a certain order in life: parents pre-decease their children. It is often hard for the human mind to accept that it can happen the other way round.

May God bless and keep the mother, the whole family, and all their friends also at this time.
