I forgot about it, this year, until it was October already.

Herself had her birthday
on the final Sunday in September, in 2019.

Her PM to me says it was a very pleasant one.
Husband safely returned from visit to family in Africa.
Smokey Pokey is still alive,
and "Spirit" aka "Sam the Skull" is well.

And, Tattie Bogle, she is thinking of you.
Sound as if Senoufou has benefited from stepping back and simply lurking,
as much as we all miss her.

Hahahahaha Raedwulf! At my age, I reckon birthdays are a really bad idea. But one gets extra crumpets, neighbours have brought round boxes of chocolates and sweets, and it's been so lovely eating them all (husband helped).

This evening we had a post-Birthday fish-and-chips takeaway from a shop we'd never tried before. A bit pricey, a bit far away to go regularly, but absolutely delicious.

If one had a birthday every week, we'd be so fat we'd have to live in the garden, or have our front door widened.

It was hard to believe when the art school burnt down again and more completely than last time, but the latest I've heard is that it is to be rebuilt exactly as it was - they have complete specifications, plans, drawings and photographs. But goodness knows how long it will take.

Think you'll be amazed at the refurbishment....everything has been reinstated as it was, sensational.....but also so very sad as CRMs art school eent up in flames for the second time in 4 years (while the repair and refurbishment from 1st fire was ongoing) poor old Sauchiehall st...much of it is closed off due to that fire and another one farther down the street

Birthday today? Congratulations! We're celebrating our 52nd wedding anniversary, also today, in a posh hotel in Glasgow. Ubiquitous Chip tonight, dinner in the hotel tomorrow after visiting the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, and dinner at No. 16 (Byres Road) on Monday after shopping till we drop in the City centre.

That blooming nurse (she's actually lovely, but still...) took so much blood I reckon she's making Cannibal Black Puddings. I bet the tests come back 'anaemic'!

Having a great Birthday; the sun is shining and we've been to the big Tesco. Bought...er...crumpets... (to help keep me slim) and a 'sop to Cerberus' in the form of some fruit. It's lovely to be twenty one yet again.
