Subject: Tech: Some keys don't wotk From: Cool Beans Date: 19 Oct 17 - 12:03 PM On my PC, the Delete and Backspace keys aren't working and when I type a word with two L's only the first one comes up on the screen. I've replaced the keyboard and the problem still exists. What's wrong? |
Subject: RE: Tech: Some keys don't wotk From: GUEST,.gargoyle Date: 19 Oct 17 - 06:53 PM The usual questions: What is your IS (operating system? Win10? Lynux?) What is your browser? (Saffari? Firefox? Outlook?) The answer to all of the above is to go into your browser settings...the answer to where those settings may be found...is in the questions above. Sincerely, Gargoyle I need to get myself checked for dementia...every year it is "ground-hog-day" at Mudcat. |
Subject: RE: Tech: Some keys don't wotk From: Joe Offer Date: 19 Oct 17 - 08:23 PM I suppose it's one of two causes:
In Windows, go to Device Manager and delete the keyboard - under "input devices." Then reboot the computer, and Windows will install new software for the keyboard. That often does the trick, unless you have dust or sticky liquid residue in your keyboard. Good luck. -Joe- |

I believe it was for when a user had a disability and could not move their fingers in a normal manner. Otherwise it's a backlash against the Welsh! Robin |
