Good to see you here David! Diane very rarely posts here now (her Mudcat name is the Borchester Echo), but as you can see there are folks who give us reports on Diane from Facebook. Hope that you are able to catch up with Diane somehow and that you stay safe.

I don't know how I missed this thread...I feel very guilty & distressed. Diane was one of the first to post, if not THE first, when I joined Mudcat to talk about The Halliard & Nic Jones. She was right there behind us from the off...a great supporter & champion. Diane, if you read this, I'm hoping you've still got my phone number & email. Please get in touch if you are able. I'm also wondering whether Ralphie has any more up to date news?

I don't know how I missed the early part of this thread, but now that I see it -- oh, my!
Best wishes, Diane!
Having been on the receiving end of the odd scathage (deservingly so most likely), I must say I nevertheless appreciate your sense of humor and your dedication to music. I hope both your wit and your health return to full function soon.
Keep on the get-well road
-Glenn

Thanks for copying my fRoots posting here Vic.

Strangely though I posted here first (I thought!) and cut and pasted the message to the other place. I must have done something wrong like forgot the submit button or whatever!

Just to add that I thought Diane looked well and in fighting form!

At http://www.froots.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6339&start=15

Kevin Sheils writes:-
Well it looks like I've beaten Diane to a computer.
Just got to the Hospital this afternoon in time to see that Diane was being discharged and heading for home. Of course with the wait for her ambulance transport we had time for a natter.
We were wondering if she'd get back to her place before I got to mine, and it looks like I'm first. Expect a post from Diane sometime soon.

and Diane adds
Yes. Kevin's bus service is obviously superior to the ambulance transport though I did have to call and get cat food, Aeola was waiting at the back door, not at alll emaciated but obviously hungry
Thanks for all good wishes which I'll get round to reading properly in a bit but massive thanks to Chris for finding me in a heap. First, the ceremonial opening of the Whiskas . . .

I don't know Diane, other than from internet forums. Like several here I suffered the odd verbal lashing but I always recognised a mistress of her craft and her musical knowledge is supreme. I wish her well.

When I eventualy get round to doing the walk described in Mr Fox's 'The Gypsy' Diane has threatened to come along, so I know she has to get better! Mind you, I did first bring it up about 8 years ago and the nearest I have got is driving it in a Honda Civic and then riding it on my Honda CX 500 - So I had best get my arse in gear soon before people think I have a Honda fetish:-)

Once again, with feeling; get better Diane.
