Subject: Lyr Add: IF WOMEN RULED THE WORLD (Tim Wallace)
From: Jack (Who is called Jack)
Date: 10 Sep 99 - 11:52 PM

There are lots of great songs that make fun of or are less than sypmathetic to the opposite sex, whichever one it is.

I'm not talking about the crudely misogynistic songs the use the B-word, or romanticize physical abuse, like some rap and the like. No profanity. Just songs where men and women are taking a musical 'shot accross the others bow'.

And they don't have to be politically correct either Like the following,

IF WOMEN RULED THE WORLD
by Tim Wallace.

If women ruled the world there would be peace
For three weeks out of every single month
Followed by a few days of pre-military stress and then
Bloody war, then everything is wonderful again!

Ooops! (heh-heh)

I'll withdraw my troops
I didn't mean to hurt you I just needed to drop that bomb on someone
I'll send you an emissary, he's a hunk, he'll be there soon.
It's just these silly phases of the moon
Lets have lunch and do some overspending real soon.

Extra credit for songs that have two protagonists taking shots at each other, like Wilma Lee and Stoney Bedder's duet

(chorus - together)
You should go and hang your head in shame
The way you tried to ruin my name
Even tried to put the blame on me when all along twas you.
Who was breaking every sacred vow
You didn't worry where or how
I hope that you are fading for the way you left me crying here alone and blue.

(Her)
With your fancy words and smile so sweet
I let you sweep me off my feet
I thought my life would be complete to have you for my very own.
Like a sailboat with no wind around
I had no power to turn you down
You went and had your way with me and then you left me sad and cryin here alone.

(repeat chorus)

(He replies)
What a shame the way you made me fall
I gave my heart, my soul and all
In answer to your lovesick call in hopes one day you'd be my wife.
But the only thing you gave to me
Were bitter tears and misery
I hope one day you pay for what you've done to me for you have ruined my life.

(final chorus together)

So lets have it folks, especially if thier not in the DT.
