Kick off around 12.30 Saturday and Sunday, as with most Barden sessions, it is difficult to give an end time. But I'm sure the normal ' Good Intent ' rules will be adhered to.

Who is Juon Barden?

Shouldn't that be Joan?

Or possibly Jane?

Is she related to John Barden's wife, Jan (or is it June)?

It's "Juan BarDin" which, literally translated means "One helluva noise in the bar". Seems about right to me. His wife "Jam BarDin" is the one that grabs lots of people and 'Jams' them into said bar - that's why it's called a 'Jam Session'. So come along on 22nd. December and join in the jam session and make a lot of noise :-).

Here we come a wassailing, along among the leaves,
Which isn't very easy when they're still upon the trees.
Wassail, wassail, I'll tell you wassail,
It comes in bottles brown and pale,
It comes in bottles, green and clear,
So we'll wish you a happy new year!!

That's what is is according to the Kipper Family :-)

JB- surely you've guessed that Guest Bill G is Woodsie- I'll be very surprised if he isn't. I have a bad cold at present- probably cat 'flu, but if I don't make it, the rest of the Leopards will. Ben did very well on the radio. Some of the other performers couldn't believe he'd reached such a high standard in such a short space of time. Please encourage him to perform, you won't be dissapointed.

Merry Xmas

I'd really been hoping that we could get along to join you all this weekend, but am going to have to do the family Santa run. Leatherhead to Ipswich, Great Yeldham, Newmarket & St Ives on Saturday followed by St Ives, Newmarket & Ipswich on Sunday.

I suppose there's an outside chance that we might make it by Sunday teatime, but you'll probably have finished off all the beer and gone home by then!! (If anyone will have a mobile switched on around that time, could they PM me their number please & we can decide as we approach Dartford crossing?)

Failing that, have a Fab weekend (I know you will *mutter, mutter*), Seasons Greetings & Best Wishes for the New Year to all!!!

Thanks to Karen and Dal who once again were the perfect hosts, and to all the singers and audience. It was great to see people all the way from Southampton, West Ham, Eltham, Orpington as well as those more local to Rochester. Have a very merry Christmas and a prosperous and healthy New Year.

Thanks, as usual, to Karen and Dal for supporting the event and for laying on a great selection of beer, and to the mighty Barden for running the Saturday session.

Season's Greetings to you all from melodeonboy (aka the shirt murderer aka 1/3 of Ruff 'n' Reddy).
