Liza C-- I was going to ask earlier, but my 'puter froze up before I could hit the submit button --

Is this an actual class of pre-school Neo-Pagans?

(Every Pagan function I go to these days has parents with young children and babies on hips, so it is certainly possible, especially if this is a home-schooling thing, and now that I think about it, these young'uns derserve little carols for themselves, too! Maybe I'll write something -- not enough time for your thing, though)

Or did you mean "Pagan" in the more general non-religious-honoring-Nature sort of way?

I think your last reply tells me that it's the latter... but in any case, little kids like the familiar -- stuff they already know (they've only known it for a few years, after all!), so I'd stick with the winter songs they know already (jingle bells, etc.) Mother Goose rhymes are good -- maybe "Eensy Weensy Spider" (??) for the return of the sun... Also, songs like that -- with body movements -- help channel the fidget energy

If you yourself are Pagan, I can understand how you yourself might feel uncomfortable singing a religious message you don't believe in (or even a "commercial" message in songs like Frosty the Snowman and Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer), and kids can pick up on that...

So I dunno....
