Thread Name: Writing Someone Alive to Say Thanks!
Subject: RE: Writing Someone Alive to Say Thanks!
Well damn PT......If this isn't the thread of the week, it should be the thread of the year! I 've done some of this as I've gotten older and mainly with those who were famous only to me because I never really think of the others as needing the praise and thanks of a pissant. Your thoughts about MR make me see that everyone is the same and it matters not the fame of the is the thanks that are important. Now when it comes to this place......I'm not sure where to start anymore because the task seems a bit daunting. I owe so much to so many.............

One person of some fame I was able to talk with a few years ago and Karen says that the first 15 minutes were the most stumbling conversation she had ever heard on my part. Tristan Jones, a sailor, had so much influence on me that when I was able to meet him I was damn near speechless. Eventually I was able to tell him how important his books were and how I had lived his adventures over and over for many years. He's a funny little guy and was quite wonderful to talk with.

Great thread PT!
