The Girl Scout Camp I went to as a child (Bonnie Brea) opened in 1918. When cleaning up my songbook for lyric problems I found that the song we sang as White Sails...

White sails they never grow weary
They carry me cheerily over the sea
Night falls I long for my dearie
I spread out my white sails and sail home to thee.

Probably began as White Wings which was written in 1912. You can find it and the midi at www.contemplator.com/folk2/wwings.html
If it's not in the DT I'll post later when I've got more time.

I think this may be the tune to the Black Socks parody sung at camp today.Good Luck I'll try to find a few more on Friday.
