1. what is your age range?

At 58 (59 in February), about 200 meters, max.

2. gender?

Male.

3. Do you have a favorite color?

Yes. Plaid.

4. favorite authors/ type of book?

Hey, I'm a LIBRARIAN!! I read pret' near anything with print on it (English preferred, but French okay and I'm getting into Spanish again). History, esp. of the Bronze and early Iron Ages in Celtic countries.

5. what books have you really been wanting?

Dan Crutcher's "King of the Mild Frontier." Dana Stabenow's novel about the Coast Guard, but not after it's published....

6. what type of music do you like?

Folk. Bluegrass. Western (ie, real cowboy, not Nashville).

7. what cds have you really been wanting?

The companion recording to the book "Whorehouse Bells Were Ringing."

8. What movies have you been wanting?

Don't do many movies....

9. what is your t-shirt size?

2XL (US), unfortunately.

10. do you collect anything? if so, what?

Obscure facts.

11. what are some of your other hobbies?

Computers, trumpeting, folklore and folkways, travel, fencing, archery (without a bow with pulleys and cams!), riflery (esp. black powder), hysterical reenactment, 'Cat, fishin', walking around in the woods with a firearm for the purpose of taking game (and failing to do so), reading, leatherworking, woodworking, writing Great Big Lies for the enjoyment of others -- that's all that come to mind right now, but there are others.

12. do you prefer gold-tone or silver-tone jewelry?

Either, as long as it's solid gold or silver. Platinum's good too.
I don't have pierced ears. Or anything else, for that matter.

13. please include anything else you feel is important that would help your secret santa know what you would like

I dunno. I'm just your simple, ordinary, extremely complex sort of straight guy who likes rubies the size of hen's eggs and the occassional Quest. I do need a new sword, though, as I flung my last one into a lake when I got hurt.
