I couldn't think of a tune to go with this whimsical poem, so I've stuck it in the BS section for now. Anybody with kids relate to the following?

THE LIKES YOU'VE NEVER SEEN

Here's a tale of language woe:
The Likes you've never seen
A virus spread from teen to teen
Grammatically obscene.

The virus came from outer space
By aliens projected
'Infected just a single teen
At first went undetected.

The germ's a harmless parasite
That lives in vocal chords
But if it's left untreated will
Sound every second word.

Though the Likes are never seen
They always can be heard
They launch themselves so frequently
Each sentence sounds absurd.

Like, now the younger children, too
Like, think it's really cool
To talk like older bro' and sis'
Ignoring grammar's rule.

So far this vocal virus lives
In English-speaking students
To stop the germ right here and now
Most surely would be prudent.

For just the other day, they said
It spread across the sea
A teen in far off Paris, France
Was heard to speak, "Like, oui!"

For should these teens become adults
All by their own admission
They'll not kick the habit of
This nasty preposition.

So if your kids should utter "like"
Disrupting words between
Beware a parent's greatest fear:
The Likes you've never seen!
