Hester Ian Bell: Canadian Folkie (11) RE: Ian Bell: Canadian Folkie 09 Apr 03

Thanks Inukshuk!

Port Dover? I thought he was the curator in Perth (which a native-born Perthian once told me was "the illegitimacy capitol of Ontario".) Oh, well ... I guess Ian gets around.

"Scotland, Ontario" ... that's a very funny town name. I hadn't heard it before. Appropriate though, for as Spirit of the West once wrote, here in Canada, "there's another oatmeal savage everytime you turn around" (half my family included). We've got every other Scots placename around here, why not the country itself.

Cheers, Hester ... who's awfully shy about approaching artists directly via e-mail. (The last one seem to think I was some odd stalker, and she never did arrange to sell me her CD.)
