This weekend, October 4 and 5, is the Sharlot Hall Festival on the grounds of the Sharlot Hall Museum in Prescott, Arizona. This a pleasant gathering of musicians from all over Arizona. No one is paid for performing, but everyone has a great time- performers and listeners alike. The weather is usually just about perfect - sunny and warm in the daytime, cool at night. You can hear old-time fiddle tunes, bluegrass, cowboy songs, conteporary folk, Irish music or sit in on workshops or sessions. Saturday night there is a contra dance with an open band and Sunday a fun "band scramble"
