In last Saturday's Guardian Heston Blumenthal gave a recipe for making baked beans. Click here for the online version. I might give it a go this weekend --- I think it's probably worth the effort, especially doing them in bulk as he says they store well. I have to say, that while I loved Heinz beans as a kid I find them awfully bland now. BJ
