GUEST,Marie Why are dogs called Blue? (70* d) RE: Why are dogs called Blue? 30 Aug 02

Greg, you asked on the 24/07/02, why is blue the colour of faithfulness?

Because, physically speaking, blue has a preserving or even receding quality! It is a retardant colour which prevents progression ( which is why it is traditionally not a good colour for fast food restaurants to be seen around! ) Taken now on a psychological level, we can notice around us that "Blue" people tend to be traditionalist; they do indeed tend to have an attachment to the past or having more of a backward-looking attitude than, say : a "Green" person... Blue is indeed the colour of conservatism (the Conservative party in Britain!)... and it's true that those people do tend to have a need to hold on; to the point sometimes of resisting change... It is the colour of peace at "any price"; a blue personality will tend to do anything for a quiet life, as they need peace so much in their lives!...to the point of bottling things up sometimes; avoiding quarrels or making scenes!...(They don't thrive on that sort of things, unlike, say : a "Red" person!

But more later on...
