Well, i can't remember the exact web address,(i think it's www.elderly.com ) but elderly instruments in lansing michigan has many instructional books and videos. I know they have some on bottleneck guitar playing cause i remember seeing them in the book. I also bought tricone several years ago. Fine instruments. I guess just figure out what kind of music you want to play(blues?) and the key you want to play it in. I personally use open D on tricone and open G on a wood body dobro. I learned by looping 10-15 segments of old blues songs on a CD player over and over until i got them right, then went past that to playing in my own style. I'd recommend Elmore James, Robert Johnson, Tampa Red, and Bukka White. Between those guys they just about cover all the basic bottleneck styles. Tampa Red played a tricone so his stuff is especially suitable. Listen to Sol Hoopi to learn hawaiian. I use heavy steel slide for slower stuff and a thick glass one for faster songs. I found the steel was too heavy to be accurate if you move it really fast.
