events so far After 4 years of trying every legal civilized remedy in the book it looks like the Democrats are going to have to resort to the extreme strongly worded letter. After 100 years (I knew my grandparents story) I know Americans very well. It has been a racist society for hundreds of years. Rightwing mobs, lynch mobs, murderous police mobs, racial town massacre mobs are excused and given a nod while the left is considered dangerous, communist, godless and nigger lovers. This is who we have been. Sometimes you have to wait for the old bastards to die off but tribalism has deep roots. The new confederacy in all its manifestations is the old 'might makes right' barbarism.
