Last of the Summer Wine was mainly filmed away from Holmfirth for much of its run. The volume of tourists made filming there very difficult. A good deal of the "village" scenes were filmed in Marsden some 8 miles away. How do I know .............. I know because quite often I couldn't get to the bloody shops because of the bastards blocking the bloody roads.
