There is also an 18th century instrumental jig based on the same tune, "Drummond Castle". I think the jig was a conscious creation and the title is not a coincidence, but I didn't note the story down at the time. The connection was that Drummond Castle was the seat of the (Jacobite) dukes of Perth.
