Looking back at my post from 2015: we are still "meeting" on Tuesday mornings, though now on Zoom. The ceilidh band I am in was supposed to be playing for a wedding in Scotland on 20th March, where the bridegroom is French: we asked in advance if there were any preferred tunes, and were told his father liked French military music: a quick email to a French musician friend came back with various suggestions: Le Chant du Depart La Madelon Le Chant des Girondins Adieu les Filles de mon Pays among others: sadly, the wedding had to be postponed, but we played some of these and La Marseillaise on this last Tuesday morning!
