Vic Smith Coronavirus Cancellations (256* d) RE: Coronavirus Cancellations 14 Mar 20

message from John Barrow - Edinburgh Folk Club
Hi all

Edinburgh FC is following current government advice and music industry guidelines and proceeding with next Wednesday's gig. Obviously the 500+ audience comment from Ms Sturgeon does not apply to EFC.

Plus the basis of that comment was not so much about health as trying to reduce the pressure on public services like hospitals, police and so on. We don't think EFC's gigs would put any pressure on public services!

However, we do ask that if you are feeling at all sick, have a temperature or a cold and sniffles, or have recently returned from any of the counties listed in the link that you stay home.

For those in attendance, please make sure that you remain clean (UCC has plenty of handwash and hot water) and mindful of the current situation.

If you are unable to attend any event at Edinburgh FC, for which you have purchased tickets in advance, for any reason related to the coronavirus outbreak, EFC will refund the full cost of your ticket.

This is exceptional - normally once a ticket has been purchased it's yours sine die and you can sell-it on if you wish.

In fact that's about the only way you can recoup the cost of your ticket if you cannot make it to the gig cos, in common with box offices in general, EFC normally won't refund your advance purchase.

We look forward to seeing you next Wednesday.

PS: I am waiting for a note from Ellen and Kevin Mitchell to say they are or are not going to be to come through from Glasgow for the gig. If they are unable to come through we'll probably just have an Open Mic night I guess. We'll let you know.

John Barrow
