pastorpest Finding a singing teacher (8) RE: Finding a singing teacher 16 Feb 01

I echo trying the university route. There are good voice teachers out there and a good one is worth the money you spend. Not only will you learn how to take care of your voice, but we all make major mistakes in vocal technique that we usually do not hear ourselves. Good voice training will correct these one by one. If you do not hit it off with the the first voice teacher you find then try another. My classically trained voice teacher, who does opera, is quite happy to work with me in folk music.
