poor lonesome boy another bad folkie needs advice (9) another bad folkie needs advice 10 Feb 01

Okay you players out there, I've got a doosy (sp?) for ya. I've been playing my own general solo folk style for a while. Since I'm the only one who hears it usually (unless someone around the campfire is actually paying attention) I sounds pretty decent to my ears. But now I've teamed up with a second guitarist with a rock background who wants to start playing folk in clubs and such (yikes). So, tell me smarties, what is the second guitar to do that I'm not already doing? I've heard twin acoustics that sound fantastic, but what exactly are they doing? Seriously? It sounds easy enough, but when you get staring at eachother's progressions, you tend to play what the other is playing, then you're just doubling up, so what's the point? Help me out here, will ya? thanks
