Merritt How Many Guitars...Is Enough?? (49) RE: How Many Guitars...Is Enough?? 14 Dec 17

My current collection. Absolutely don't need to keep this many, but they make me happy. And my wife, the real keeper, encourages me just because they make me happy. All are set up to plug & play in bars, breweries, dance halls, etc. I play all of 'em regularly except the travel guitar. Often bring 2 or 3 instruments to a gig.

1968 Standel AKA Harptone Jumbo (spruce/mahogany; Fishman Rare Earth Humbucker; any tuning)
2005 Simon & Patrick Woodland Parlor (spruce/cherry; Fishman Rare Earth Humbucker; kept in open D or G)
2008 Breedlove D25/SM Dread (spruce/mahogany; L.R. Baggs Stage Pro Element; standard & drop tunings)
2008 Giannini Cavaquinho (spruce/something; Dean Markley contact pickup; mostly tuned to top end of open G)
2009 Wechter Travel (all mahogany beater; JJB 220 pickup; any tuning)
2015 Gretsch G5620T-CB Thinline Electromatic (5-ply maple body & maple neck; Blacktop FilterTron @ bridge & SuperHiLoTron @ neck; any tuning)
2016 Gretsch G9450 Dixie 5-String Banjo (cheap open-back banjo, Fishman Rare Earth Humbucker, tunings so far include G, A6 and Mountain Modal)
2017 Taylor 150e 12-string Dreadnaught (spruce/sapele; Taylor Expression System; standard & drop tunings)
