dorareever hysterical dysphonia (20) RE: hysterical dysphonia 07 Dec 00

I do not think I suffer of hysterical dysphonia but sometimes when I'm nervous or have anxiety I lose my voice. I mean "the voice" is there, can talk as loudly as ever, but when I try to sing it seems that they have turned off the volume! I have usually a strong voice when I sing vut if I'm jittery or fear that I am "not good enough" (I have problems my self-esteem, sometimes) I just cannot breath! However it lasts for a very little time then I just stop trying to sing and do soemthing else,or try to relax and concentrate and usually if not always I overcome it. But mine isn't a chronic problem,so that's not that hard. It's only that I am very shy.
