Dave Swarbrick appears at The Topic in Bradford this coming Thursday, three weeks shy of 45 years since he first appeared (with Martin Carthy) on 11th March 1966 - such information you can glean from our super-dooper revamped Gigs List, recently updated to include gig dates going back to 1960.

Swarb's first-to-most-recent attendance span will be a record for the club, a record normally held by Roger Sutcliffe. He also first appeared in 1966, on the 12th August, and is still performing annually; his appearance in 2010 was his 54th time on The Topic's stage, but then he is a long-standing worthy of the club, including serving on the committee and booking acts in his time.

As well as the Gigs List, I (Topic webbo) am in the process of updating our A to Z listing of past guest acts, to make sure I have them all included and the links to relevant websites are current.

There are 595 past guests as of this morning, but I expect to add a few more missing ones. Most urls are to an act's own website, some to obits or Wikipedia pages or reviews.

And in some cases, such as for Jon Rennard, the best online information I could find comes from a Jon Rennard Mudcat thread, so that's the link. Apart from anything else, Mudcat feels much more permanent than a lot of other links.
