RE: the Woman' Hour interview, I thought Jane Garvey (the host) was apalling! Talk about patronizing (at best) she couldn't believe that someone of Barbara Dickson's standing would want to "do" folk music. BD handled it all very well and put JG in her place - nicely - once or twice.

A few quot

"Why do you love folk music so much? Because I have to say it clearly isn't for everybody, and this is a relatively hard core folk album, isn't it?" and ...

"I guess people might be puzzled maybe it's just me who's puzzled because you can do SO many other things" and ...

"But after all these years, why is folk such a hard sell? " to which BD replies, "Maybe because it's good (snip) ... folk music is fab"

So typical of BBC these days!
