GUEST,rossey BBC Scotland archive query (3) BBC Scotland archive query 08 Jan 11

Hi noted some discussion about BBC archive material held in sound archives. For family reasons, I am looking for a start on how to find out if anything exists in archives from 1. a Scottish BBC radio show in 1964 called 'for your entertainment' where my father was featured - and a BBC Scotland TV Programme shown at hogmanay of 1975 'a dram for all seasons'. This contains the only existing film clip of my late father singing (which might only be momentary - I don't know). I have transmission dates for both shows, but haven't got a clue where to begin. The BBC's own centrally based archive website is not very welcoming of individual queries of this nature, and a bit discouraging. Any help from anybody would be most welcome.
