Friday 8th Jan. DHFC (next to Sainsbury's), Edgar Kail Way (off Dog Kennel Hill), SE22 8BD. Door 7PM.

We had a brilliant Goose evening with Tim in June 2008, and have asked him back by popular request!

We are particularly delighted to have been able to book Tim, as he has been very tied up with singing for War Horse at the National Theatre (now at the New London Theatre) and has not been undertaking any folk gigs.

Tim has come a long way since winning the 1998 BBC Young Folk Award, breaking new ground with Dr Faustus and touring the world with Waterson:Carthy.

He is now firmly established as a leading light in the UK's thriving folk scene. The Guardian described him as "compelling" and "original" and the Observer described his last album (acclaimed everywhere from the Times to the Sun) as "a triumph".

Support will be from Elle Osborne , the excellent young singer and fiddler who appeared with Alasdair Roberts in October, but is back in her own right tonight. We also have Skinny Lister who is appearing at the Goose for the very first time.

Take a listen to all three acts below!

and to find info on all future gigs go to the Goose website at

Mix of sofas and row seats, but we would advise getting down early if you want to get yourself a seat. DHFC also now serve club sandwiches and Paninis at the bar ... which are very yummy
