GUEST,Dave MacKenzie Why does my G string keep breaking? (60* d) RE: Why does my G string keep breaking? 10 Oct 08

G-string: this is perhaps one of the oldest verbal jokes in musical circles due to that fact that most stringed instruments are tuned so that one string is a relative G, eg: EBGD (violin), EADGBE (guitar). cf 'Air on a G-String' by J S Bach. On the guitar it is also the string which breaks most often.
