Here's a "toast" version of St Patrick Was a Gentleman. I seem to recall getting it from the 1950s Penguin book of Folk Songs:

Saint Patrick was a gentleman
Who through strategy and stealth
Drove all the snakes from Ireland
Here's a bumper to his health.

But not too many bumpers
Or we'll lose ourselves and then
Forget the good St Patrick
And see the snakes again.
