Anonny Mouse Can evil beget good? (Burns, et al.) (31) RE: Can evil beget good? (Burns, et al.) 04 Mar 06

Not to bring into this all the religious connotations, but take the Xian symbol of the "cross:" Did that bring "evil into good"? Think about the "Good Friday" theology. Why call it "good"? Eh? What was "good" about it? Oh yeah--torturing someone to death. Good. Phonecians developed crucifixion as boiling in oil was deemed too merciful. Cool move. Let's hear it for the Phonecians and Romans!!! YAY! Anyway, the Xian faith would say, to an extent, "yeah---evil CAN beget good". Is it NECESSARY to bring good??? NO! But it CAN be perceived, and taken upon faith. Even "Original Sin" brought good--as according to the Genesis sagas, God made clothes for his created beings (Adam=MAN, Eve=Woman), and barred them from the "Tree of Life"--Didja all forget about the second FORBIDDEN tree there? To know "all that is good and evil" is to know ALL. Omniscence. To eat from the Tree of Life (Immortal) is to be all-knowing, and immortal--hence, a "god"--ooops!)

End of Theology 102. Check back with the Episcopalians on this folks. They'll set ya straight!
