A good freind of mine flew lancasters, he gets tired of people going all dewey eyed about 'em. He always refers to them as " A pain in the arse... fxxxin' deathtraps." AFTER the war there was 20% annual mortality rate on Lancasters. Still, on the 3 or 4 occasions when i've heard four merlins - It sends a shiver down my spine like Leon Rowsome was in the room.
