Barry T Review: Celtic Women on PBS (77* d) RE: Review: Celtic Women on PBS 23 May 05

Well said, Pooh Bear! Both applause and mild constructive criticism are warranted for the production, but what a pleasant contrast it was with the normal pop tripe that frequents our television screens.

My wife now pokes fun at me now for being part of the 'generation gap'. That upset me at first, because I pride myself in having a wide latitude in musical tastes. Then I discovered what was driving me nuts about *current* pop music: it's all in 4/4 time; it's all within about 10 beats per minute the same tempo; and, the drum track is nearly identical... perhaps performed by machine, not human. Geez, even Elvis sang in 3/4 time occasionally!

To PBS I say, 'Good on ya! Give us more!'
